About RMS & iClarify

Risk Management Services (RMS) is a division under SCM Insurance and the largest risk inspection company in Canada with a truly national scope. SCM Risk Management Services specializes in delivering a broad selection of products and services, along with valuable risk information that helps clients profitably manage their commercial and residential risk portfolios.

iClarify was developed by RMS in fall 2008 as a solution to the insurance industry’s $11-billion insurance to value issue. The market needed a better approach to insuring to value, property underwriting results were deteriorating, and the accuracy of replacement costs generated by inspection and valuation suppliers was under scrutiny.

iClarify addresses two prominent issues in property calculation accuracy today:

• Poor data quality or missing data at the point-of-sale with the insurer
• Inability to compare in-force property "insure to value" calculations to actual industry loss data

iClarify was developed by SCM Risk Management Services. It was successfully launched in 2010 in Ontario and since then, RMS has obtained vast support from broker associations, insurers and industry stakeholders across Canada.
